ECO-CHIC Wedding

Thanks to ArtPhotoSoulPhotography for the fabulous collage and images! We are also grateful to Immaculate Events for asking us to participate.

The best part of our job is getting to work with wonderful vendors and to create beautiful things day in and out. This particular photo shoot allowed us to design with an eco-theme in mind. Let’s start by saying that although we could not use all recycled items we did make every attempt to limit our purchases and re-use objects from past weddings, plus re-dress some items in order to make them appear “earthy” and hip.

Thanks to ArtPhotoSoul Photography and Immaculate Events for asking us to be part of the shoot at Cypress Grove Estate House!

CONGRATULATIONS ANNIE & JEREMY!

Be sure to see the complete photo gallery here! THANKS to Jen for the wonderful photography.

I would write a few comments but the blog post on Style Me Pretty says it all- read the post here...

Annie’s bridal bouquet contains some of my favorite flowers of all time! Lush full bloomed white peonies, fragrant white stock blossoms with a bit of green peeking through, classic ivory roses and the bride’s favorite flower: white tulips with a few of their leaves for a sharp contrast to the white and ivory. The whole look is fresh classic with a modern twist. The stems were wrapped with ivory double faced satin ribbon.  We call this one of our “fluffy” bouquets… Annie chose well!

The wedding celebration was at Bella Collina, Monteverde, Florida

LOVE THE JANE AUSTEN THEME (and the felt bird topper)

If you need some inspiration to create a truly unique wedding experience, look no further than this wonderful ceremony! Alison and Ann combined their individual talents and tastes to design a Jane Austen themed event, which took place in the absolutely gorgeous Bella Collina. We were also able to work on this event with a local wedding coordinator, Helen from  Elegant Weddings of Orlando

It looks just like a Tuscan castle, and has all the luxury of a destination wedding location without all the travel and expense to get  there. It was the most beautiful day to walk around the outdoor verandas  and just take it all in; the scenery really looks like it belongs between the  pages of Conde Naste.

The most charming part of the reception decor was the centerpiece display, which featured paper-mached busts -designed by Alison herself- representing characters from their favorite Jane Austen novels.

They were ornamented with bunches of luscious white hydrangea, crisp yellow buttons and wisps of babies breath, and as a finishing touch, draped with jasmine vine and variegated ivy.

The whole set-up was pure loveliness!

We loved their rustic sensibilities, and enjoyed designing a bridal bouquet and bouquets for the bridal attendants with details that would match them, from the pop of the yellow billy balls to the soft grey of the dusty miller.
Perhaps the most scrumptious details of this ceremony’s decor could be found right on top of the cake itself; enchantingly displayed on a base made from the trunk of a tree, daintily ornamented with clusters of yellow and white, and topped with two quirky little lovebirds, this cake looked almost too good to eat!

Finally, a list of seasonal flowers from our growers in sunny California! Please keep in mind that may factors effect the availability, size and color of a bloom. Ask your florist to suggest a substitution if, in fact, a flower you want is not available for some reason. It is always better to have a back up plan when dealing with Mother Nature. For more information on flower color read our article on “White vs. Ivory Flowers”

CLICK HERE to search for your favorite flowers! A special thanks to the California Cut Flower Commission for creating the lists.

An Important reminder:

Florists will work closely with the local wholesaler, who in turn work with the buyer, who contact the grower/s to assure that products will be available for the delivery dates of our customers event. Be aware that we are working with Mother Nature and at certain times of the year there may be high demands, crop failures or weather conditions, national disasters, etc. that could prevent the availability of the flower you have requested.

Our staff of experienced floral experts will then find a similar flower or color to match your requested product. Since shortages are commonly not known until the day of shipping, your florist typically reserves the right to make substitutions without any type of notification to the customer due to time limitations.

At Dream Designs Florist, we ask the client before hand if they wish to be notified in the event of a substitution. As a secondary precaution, we discuss and select similar types of flowers that could be used as a back up in the event of a problem. Trust that the professional you work with will do everything in their power to provide you with the flowers you wish for!
